The Gates Assassin's Application

1. real name/in game name

My real name is Julian Sullivan, but ingame I usually go by either Gates or Gates sin since she is pretty much all that I play on.

3. characters(professions)

The Gates Assassin (Assassin, Level 20) - She is my main character. She has 6 elite armors, a full armory of shields, three different shield set swords/spears, and just about every dagger a sin would need. 18 months old and what I'm on nearly all day long. Can run pretty much everything since she is UAS for assassin and has all the good skills from the other professions.

Unbeatable Monk (Monk, Level 20) - She is my secondary character. She is no where near as complete as Gates, but she has access to every elite mission besides DoA (Working on it currently), and a decent amount of skills. She has all the casting sets along with an armor set as well. Overall decently equipped. This name use to be for my PvP monk...but I was definitely beatable xD. So Beatable monk is now my PvP char and Unbeatable monk is now my PvE one.

The Staff of JBB (Elementalist, Level 20) - Named after my first PvP GvG guild leader, King JBB. We all named a character after the leader for when we GvGed, and the name just stuck xD. She really doesn't have much, but has access to every single elite mission, and can run the meta ele stuff besides UW and FoW runs. UW runs are for Gates only atm =).

Illusion of Failure (Mesmer, Level 16) - Named after my favorite guild I've ever been in: Illusion of Skills [IoS]. The guild was so tight and fun that I had to name at least one character after it. Just made it about 2 weeks ago

4. main character&maxed titles on him/her

My main character as I've said is The Gates Assassin. She only has 3 max titles, the protector titles, however I only really have been working on the harder titles (Vanquishing, HM missions) so she doesn't have anything else really besides high ranking EOTN titles.

5. Your experience with high end areas in GW/elite missions/dungeons and overall HM

I love hard mode stuff. I have most of Prophecies done for vanquishing on my sin, and a lot of the missions are done there too. I have Ursan'd DoA, so I at least know the area =/ I know ursan means nothing but I at least know the layout of the place and the main quests. Gates usually does Chamber sinning for UW SCs for money atm, but can't do vale or pits yet. I can do Urgoz and Deep with my ele fairly well (Deep is so much fun =D). I've completed every dungeon in Guild Wars (Shards of Orr being my absolute least favorite and Catacomes of Kathandrax being my favorite). I also hero and henched all of Sarrows Furnace.

6. Your current goals in GW and What are you doing most of the time when you are on GW ?

Right now I want to make my HoM perfect. That includes getting my sin tormented weapons and maxing out a few good titles to make the big guy pop up for me. Another big goal is to get a Voltiac Spear for Gates along with a Mini Gwen.

7. Your past guild experiences and what guilds have you been in.

The notable Guilds I've been in are Illusion of Skill (rank 200 GvG guild), Gameamp Guides (A website guild), the PvX guild or Prolly and Monks. I was also in a small elite running guild, along with another big running guild that did droks runs for fun.

9. PvE, PvP or both?

PvX ftw.

10. Any notable achievements you achieved or you're proud of?

=/ 6 elite armors on my sin, req 8 zodiac daggers with 15^50, completing all dungeons and all elite areas, being UAX in pvp.

11. Describe yourself as player

In real life, I am a junior karate instructor, and sometimes it really shows. If I see a bad build, I try to guide them to the answer as much as possible and explain why something is bad, but if I am completely wrong, it's not a big deal, I'll learn too.

12. Tell us more about yourself as person

I'm a 2nd degree black belt in American Kenpo karate, I love playing guitar in both real life and Guitar hero, I love final fantasy, and I love making my own games on the computer.

14. Why do you want to join and how can you contribute to guild?

Well, after going through all the elite missions, dungeons and crap like that, you start to realize something: PuGs kinda suck. I've always wanted to join a deticated guild and based on the fact that I saw GoE was in your alliance, I forsee good things.

34-35 monthes total, 18 monthes on Gates, others I'm not totally sure.

16. Forum - would you use and check forum regulary if you were part of [GoDT]?

Does anyone ever say no to this question? You'd have to not really want to get in if you said no to this question. In all honesty: Yes I would. When I get into a guild I tend to try to get into it as much as possible, especially if the forum is active. I usually save one spot on Fast Dial for the guild so I don't forget about it.

17. Where/how did you find out about [GoDT]?

I don't go on guru much mostly because it lags so much, and I'm pretty settled in PvX wiki.

Right, you seem like an experienced player to me, just a couple of things,

We dont need to know what weps you have :p they mean nothing experience wise,
And why didnt you apply for GoE? because if you are joining GoDT just to get near/close to GoE You'll probably be dissapointed, as we dont seem to be involved with them as much as we should be at the moment.

But apart from that, It's a yes from me, but i will want an answer to my question

=/ Just saying that I love my sin the most, so I would probably mostly if not only be on her. And I'm not trying to get close to GoE at all, I only mentioned them because I saw their guild right below yours and I looked into both, so it sounds like it's a high end PvE alliance, but honestly that's just a side thing, if you aren't active with the alliance idc. A lot of the better guilds I've been in hardly ever even talk to the alliance. And tbh it seems like they require a lot more from players, almost like a "top rank PvE guild", which I can admit I'm not atm. I might be way off, but it just seemed like this guild was a better choice.

Think the weaps/ armor was a good idea actually, need a long time in game to get to that level so shows a level of dedication to the game

just a heads up though- theres a lot of call for perma sins for dungeons atm- so if you have exp with that i expect you'll always be busy!

Lol reminds me so much of IoS; we never guested because we had everyone we needed, and same with everyone else in the alliance.
