general imbagon

Introduction

An imbagon (also known as godmode paragon) is a type of
paragon that spams armor/damage buffs like save yourselves and there’s nothing to
fear.

Imbagons are quite wanted in the ‘new’ generation of
teambuilds, physicals, because they are defensive, BUT also good offensive as
their dps is the same as a sword.


The build

there are many variants of the imbagon, but here’s what we
call a ‘general imbagon’

Usage

The build is straight foward and pretty easy to use. Start with
aggressive refrain (TIP: swap headpieces first to 4 leadership, it will be
more easy to maintain.).
use focused anger or for great justice (you’ll need both
though). Regen your energy by spamming SY.
When your energy hits 15, cast there’s nothing to fear (TIP:
you could swap to a 20 energy staff when to cast TntF before the fight.)
Use Attack skills on recharge.
The only hard thing in this build is maintain aggressive
refrain. Best thing you can do is spam TntF on recharge (in and out battle).

Equipment

- Full survivors armor

- Vampiric spear of fortitude

- Req7/15AL command shield 30/ 10armor vs xxx (it’s hard to
find though)

- You can use a req9 command if you use a superior rune


Variants

- When there are many ranged physicals in your team,
it is advicable to take Ebon Battle Standard of Honor[/b]


- When you have some energy issuses, you can allways
take \"Go For The Eyes\"

some good tips

but here's something you may want to add/fix: at req7 command shield you should add it has 15AL, since you won't find max one with req7(also it is blue and not gold in most cases).

Also for empty skill i would suggest one of the anthems, like Anthem of Fire or Anthem of Weariness, they are spamable and low energy cost, helps you keep up Agressive Refrain and is also good boost in fight.

I don't like athems in on imbagon. they decrease your attack rate and SY spamming capability.

a good variant I sometimes use is: swap spear of fury with asura scan and take another non-pve attack skill

well, to activate effect of spear of fury, enemy needs a condition, so i see it perfect combo to add anthem of fire, use spear of lightning to apply condition and then spear of fury

you have a point, but many other ppl cary conditions with them... so that's rarely a problem.

anthem of flame is quite handy when it comes to AR upkeep, because it's 'spammable'

exactly why i suggested it

Also there's no guarantee enemy will have condition up in first 10secs of fight, so it's good to make sure alone and apply it for effect of spear of fury.

it has nothing to do with experience, only with personal preferences...

yep.

Main point of these build forums here is that ppl post OWN builds and add OWN experience and tips with them. PvX can be good for really basic builds, but i prefer some creativity.

Use anthem of weariness, because unlike anthem of flame it can hit at the same time as Spear of fury.

Plus weakness > burning

I will add it to the collection.
On topic, Im using a bit different build , imo if you are using only Spear of lighting you dont need 14 on spear... you can put some points at command and buff it a bit , for a r9 shield (altho I use r8 one).
I like using spear of fury , its just an extra dmg and recharge SY faster
I would add AoF or AoW , to help you keep AR , and go for the eyes is pretty helpfull as well

Good guide. I wouldn't take any Anthems in areas with 8 party members, keeping up AR with TNtF isn't really a problem there.

if you are confident and in a good group you can take a supirior spear rune instead of a minor (like I do).
imo 14 spear mastery is a must to have a decent dps. Spear of Lightning has an 8 sec recharge.
